New laws now apply in NSW which effect the buying, selling and leasing of properties with a pool. These laws were enacted to assist in the protection of children with regards to pool related incidents.
To comply with these new laws, certain certification MUST be obtained from private certifiers who are authorised to issue swimming pool certificates of compliance. Our inspectors in NSW are authorised to conduct pool safety inspections and able to assist you in meeting your compliance needs.
You must obtain a certificate of compliance or a relevant occupation certificate and a certificate of registration or a certificate of non-compliance. Not sure what this means? No worries – our experienced inspectors are able to explain your individual requirements and conduct any necessary certification.
You must obtain a certificate of compliance or a relevant occupation certificate and a certificate of registration must be obtained. Unsure about your requirements? No worries – our authorised inspectors are able to explain your individual obligations and conduct any necessary certification.
Under the new laws you are not obligated to obtain any official certification. However, owners of properties with a pool are required to register their pool with the New South Wales Swimming Pool Register.
As part of the registration process, the owner needs to assess the safety of their own pool; this can be done via the safety checklist provided or it can be completed by a professional inspector. It is recommended by the official Swimming Pool Register website that a professional inspector be used, as they use a more comprehensive and technical checklist that may result in a different outcome.

Andrew was well-organized, arrived at the property on time, conducted a thorough inspection, answered all of my questions and sent a comprehensive report to me via email on the same day. Having a building inspection done was well worth the money because I was provided with a list of all of the potential problems which needed to be addressed with the property, many of which I would not have noticed myself.
